Woo Hoo!

Boy! Am I a proud mama! Let me tell you all about it!

Well, I haven't followed up on Braden's baseball since Practice #1 for a reason...... You see, Bee Dub is a left sided hitter, and the ONLY one on his team, as well as a part of the minority in the baseball world! Sooooo, the coaches are a little challenged by this, and they have hit him with the ball 3 times! Once in the stomach, once in the arm, and once in the leg! SO NOW HE'S GUNSHY! He is so afraid that the ball is going to hit him, so he is not concentrating on the ball touching the bat! So I got him a trainer, our good ol friend Wilson, who plays at Trinity & is really good! He worked with him just to get his Psyche back in place, and it worked!!! He finally got a hit yesterday, and even knew which direction to run!!! So just as he's hitting first base with his right leg, the ball ends up rolling of the foul line! OH MY FREAKIN' GOD! The crowd, which was so excited for him (cause they know what has happened over the past couple of weeks) just awes & me, who is about in tears, so proud of her son, just drops at the waist in total sadness for Bee Dub who has to trek back to home plate to try again to which he failed! My poor Little Man, didn't quite understand because he saw it make it almost to the pitcher and off he was! As I continue to brag.... He also was a great 3rd baseman last night as he "fielded" 3 balls and got them back to the pitcher with great speed! He also tagged a guy out with his back side of his glove at 3rd base at the same time that the 2nd baseman was tagging somebody, actually with the ball! Braden is learning, but has anybody told him that the game name is baseball and that is what tags people out, not just the action of tagging? It was quite funny! Gotta love him!!!

He was still so excited and hopefully this will continue! Remember, that this mommy, so confident in her son, told the little league people that he was "too good for T-ball" and that even though he was a grade, and a year younger than everyone else, he would still be an asset to Coach Pitch! Yeah, so needless to say, I have buried my head a little more and just have kept my mouth shut, if you can so beleive!!!???

The blue font is cute, but very hard to read.
